Site BEC1 by Route 220, bank regrading

Mitigation work at the BEC1 site consisted of regrading and stabilizing stream banks, planting riparian vegetation, construction of in-stream rock structures to direct flow away from the stream banks, and fencing the stream area to prevent livestock impacts.
The bank along the road was eroding and sloughing into the stream, causing sediment pollution into the stream and jeopardizing the stability of the road. The bank has been regraded and vegetated to reduce erosion potential:
